This product is a two piece cover, one rubber, and one hard plastic. It withstands being dropped, by accident of course. Great product! Highly recommend.

this 2-layer case (cake?) is both well designed and well manufactured. you could probably use just the inner silicone layer but it's slippery and why not use the outer hard shell too? doesn't add any extra bulk but does add protection. had no problem applying the screen protector. check the simple instructions and you've got it. also, i work with ruggedized laptops so i appreciate having the dust covers on all the data/audio ports. i still have full touch control over all of the buttons and they work fine. here's a suggestion: take the tiny chamois that came with the screen protector and seal it between the inner and outer case. that way, if you need it in a pinch, you always have a way to clean your screen or camera lens! the outer case goes on and off without any hassle or undue stress so you're not gonna wear it out. buy this for you photon...DO IT!

Ordered from an Amazon Marketplace vendor on Tuesday and it was delivered today (Thursday). Fit and finish are perfect! I already had an Invisible Shield cover on the phone so I did not use the one included with the case. The rubber inner covers seems like it might be a bit too loose to use by itself but everything fits great when the outer plastic is snapped on. The phone is very slim by design, and the case only adds a little bit of bulk... which I completely expected.
